How To Make Healthy Skillet Lasagna With Spicy Sauce

Most lasagna involve a large investment of time and a sink full of pots and pans, but not this. It has all the pleasures of layers of tender lasagna, homemade sauce, deliciously gooey cheese, but it can be beaten in less than an hour using a single pan. We are fans of Barilla no boil lasagna, but do not hesitate to use any brand you want. 


3 cups of noodles with extra-large eggs
1 1/2 pound ground meat (turkey, beef, sausage or combination)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 can (14.5 oz size) diced tomatoes with green pepper, celery and onions

Tomato sauce 1 can (8 oz size)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese


In the pot used to boil the noodles, melt butter over medium-low heat. 

Add ⅓ cup of the cream until well combined. Reduce heat to low and add the pasta, cheese, salt and pepper and cook while stirring until the cheese melts. 

Stir in the last spoonful of cream at the end. Season with black pepper and serve immediately.
